Cellardoor is a online quarterly magazine offering creative inspiration to sassy young women around the …. well around the world I guess. Created by best buddies Jade Cooper-Collins and Amy Power, the magazine is a cool, kooky, feminine collection of music, fashion, food, literature and other bits and bobs the pair feel compelled to share.

Grab yourself a cuppa & read their top five inspirations here. Then put the kettle on again for a good ole read of the mag itself. You’ll love it.

One… Stacey Mark

We’ve been a huge fan of Stacey’s work since poring over her images in Nylon magazine where she was Photo Director. Since then the photographer has created some beautiful editorials for the likes of Purple magazine and Lula. We really love the hazy vintage feel of her photographs, and her style is very similar to the aesthetic we try to create within the pages of Cellardoor.

Two… Tea

A cup of tea makes the world go round or so they say. Whenever we’re feeling un-inspired we can always count on a cuppa to help us out of the slump, accompanied by a slice of cake or a chocolate biscuit or two of course!

Three… Pastels

Spring and summer are definitely our favourite seasons – we love nothing more than being able to wear pretty dresses and you can’t show them off underneath a thick coat now can you! So when we’re designing the magazine we often stick to a pastel palette of colours, which complement our style.

Four… Vintage Magazines

We’re huge magazine junkies here at Cellardoor HQ so a lot of inspiration usually comes from flicking through our vast collection. We love the fashion from the fifties so we’re inspired by the older editorials from Vogue… women back then were so much more elegant!

Five… London

London by Running for Crayons

We’re based in the capital city and when we get the time we try to visit all the great markets and hidden treasure it has to offer. One weekend might be spent lazing on Hampstead Heath and the next spent rummaging around the vintage shops on Brick Lane or tasting all the yummy food at Borough Market. It’s hard to feel uninspired then!

Jade and Amy have recently released their Mini Winter issue – Find out more here. You can also follow Cellardoor Magazine on Twitter and on Facebook. They’re very lovely.
